Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
This policy explains how Onewid ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use onewid.io (the "Service").
1. What we collect
- Account data: your email address, a hash of your password (never the password itself), your age and terms confirmation, and your public handle if you set one.
- Content: prompts, images, videos and audio you upload, characters you save, and the videos generated for you.
- Payments: the amount, package, status and transaction reference of each purchase. Card and crypto payments are made on the payment processor's page; your card number and wallet details are never sent to us.
- Usage and security data: the IP address and time of your last login, the time you were last active, consent records you submit, moderation decisions and reports, and server logs with IP addresses.
- Device data: a random device ID kept in your browser and a device fingerprint (a one-way hash of technical browser and device characteristics such as screen size, time zone, language and graphics hardware), with the network your requests come from. We use these only to prevent abuse of free trials and multiple accounts.
- Referral and ad data: if you accept cookies, the affiliate code, traffic source or ad click ID that brought you to us.
2. Your content is private
Your uploads, portraits and videos are private. They are delivered through links that are tied to your account and only open while you are logged in, so a copied link does not work for anyone else, and the real storage address of your files is never shown. The only way someone else can watch one of your videos is a share link you create yourself; when you turn sharing off, the link and its copy of the video are deleted. Videos you publish to your channel are shown to logged-in members only after our review. We do not use your videos on our home page or in our marketing.
3. Why we use it
- to provide the Service: run your account, generate and store your videos, and keep your credit balance;
- to process payments, refunds and chargebacks;
- to enforce our Terms: automated moderation of prompts, uploads and outputs, abuse and fraud prevention, and handling reports and legal requests;
- to send service emails such as verification and password reset codes. We do not send marketing email;
- if you accept cookies, to measure which ads and referrals bring sign-ups and purchases.
4. Who processes it
We share data only with providers that run parts of the Service for us:
- AI generation providers, which receive your prompts and uploads to create videos;
- moderation providers (OpenAI, xAI), which check prompts, images and video frames for prohibited content;
- storage and delivery (Bunny.net) for uploads and generated videos;
- email delivery (Resend);
- our payment processors: Stripe for card payments and NOWPayments for crypto payments;
We do not sell personal data. We disclose data to authorities when required by law, and we report suspected child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to let our storage network check that a file link is opened by its owner, and an essential cookie and local storage entry with a random device ID to prevent abuse of free trials and multiple accounts. Your browser's local storage also keeps a few display settings and your cookie choice. Only if you click Accept, local storage also keeps your referral code, traffic source and ad click ID for up to 30 days. If you click Reject, these are not stored and any stored ones are deleted. We use no third-party tracking cookies or scripts. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser.
6. Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete individual videos, all your content, or your whole account from your account page. When you delete a video or your account, the files are deleted from our storage and every link to them stops working; your account record is anonymized. We keep payment records and moderation records as long as needed for accounting, chargebacks, legal claims and law enforcement requests. For every video we generate, we also keep a generation record (video ID, account and email, model and prompt, time) even after the video or account is deleted, so that a video found elsewhere can be traced to the account that made it when we investigate abuse or answer a legal request. The video ID is written into the video file's metadata.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Email support@onewid.com from your account email and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
Data is sent over HTTPS, passwords are stored with Argon2 hashing, and access to our servers is restricted.
9. Children
You must be 18 or older to create an account. We delete accounts we learn belong to minors.
10. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above.
